Description
The Cisco ISR4431/K9 is a modular Integrated Services Router from the Cisco 4000 Series, designed for enterprise branch-office and WAN connectivity. It provides integrated routing, security, voice, application-aware networking, and WAN services in a 1U rack-mount platform.
The ISR4431 provides four onboard Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, three Network Interface Module (NIM) slots for additional WAN and network connectivity, and one Integrated Services Card (ISC) slot for PVDM4 DSP resources. The platform runs Cisco IOS XE and supports modular expansion for technologies such as T1/E1, serial, Ethernet, voice, and other WAN interfaces.
The standard aggregate throughput is 500 Mbps, with support for up to 1 Gbps when the appropriate performance license is enabled. Cisco also supports online insertion and removal (OIR) of supported interface modules, making the platform suitable for flexible branch-office deployments and service expansion.
The ISR4431/K9 is a 1RU chassis with internal power-supply options and support for redundant power configurations. It includes USB connectivity, console and auxiliary management interfaces, and integrated out-of-band management capabilities.
