The Juniper MIC-3D-4XGE-XFP is a 4-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet Modular Interface Card (MIC) designed for Juniper MX Series routers. It provides four high-speed 10GbE interfaces using XFP optical transceivers and is installed in a compatible Modular Port Concentrator (MPC). Juniper officially identifies it as a “10-Gigabit Ethernet MIC with XFP.”
Each port supports speeds up to 10 Gbps, with configurable LAN-PHY at 10.3125 Gbps and WAN-PHY at 9.953 Gbps. The module supports MTUs up to 9,192 bytes, VLANs, synchronous Ethernet, optical diagnostics, VRRP and RMON.
