Description
The Juniper Networks EX-UM-4X4SFP is a 4-port Ethernet uplink module for the Juniper EX4300 Series switches. It provides four SFP/SFP+ ports that can operate with either 1 Gigabit Ethernet SFP transceivers or 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ transceivers, depending on the installed optics and supported configuration.
The module installs into the dedicated uplink-module slot of compatible EX4300 switches and expands the switch's high-speed connectivity for upstream network, aggregation and inter-switch connections. Juniper identifies the EX-UM-4X4SFP as a 4-port 1GbE/10GbE SFP+ uplink module.
The four ports can also be configured as Virtual Chassis Ports (VCPs) when appropriate SFP+ transceivers are used, allowing compatible EX4300 switches to be interconnected into a Virtual Chassis or Virtual Chassis Fabric configuration.
