The Cisco VG350 is built on the Cisco 3945 Integrated Services Router (ISR) powered by high-performance multicore processors, with power redundancy available through an optional integrated redundant power supply (RPS). The Cisco VG350 is a high-density 160-port gateway offered in a 19-inch rack-mount chassis. It is an intermediate path that enables TDM-to-IP transition, and can be used in a Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express environment and migrated to Cisco Unified Communications Manager with full investment protection. It includes built-in Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP) failover to an H.323 connection to a Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) router, maintaining voice service for analog endpoints if the WAN link fails.
