Description
The Cisco Meraki MR36-HW is a cloud-managed Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) indoor wireless access point designed for enterprise, education, healthcare, hospitality, retail, and office environments. It provides simultaneous 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz 2×2:2 MU-MIMO wireless connectivity and supports OFDMA for improved efficiency in high-density environments. Cisco specifies an aggregate dual-band frame rate of up to 1.7 Gbps.
The MR36 incorporates four radios: dedicated 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz client-access radios, a third dual-band radio for WIDS/WIPS, spectrum analysis and location analytics, and an integrated Bluetooth Low Energy radio for beaconing and device scanning. Management is performed through the Meraki cloud, providing centralized configuration, monitoring, firmware updates and troubleshooting.
The MR36-HW is the hardware ordering designation for the Meraki MR36 access point. A Meraki cloud license is required for operation and management.
