It features a triple AC input architecture, hot-swappable operation, and advanced power scalability for high-density enterprise and campus deployments. The power supply supports large-scale Power over Ethernet (PoE) environments and provides sufficient power for up to 420 IEEE 802.3af Class 3 devices in a fully redundant Catalyst 6500 chassis configuration. It is compatible with both E-Series and selected non-E Series Catalyst 6500 chassis.
