The Cisco ASA5508 is an enterprise-class next-generation firewall and security appliance from the Cisco ASA 5500-X Series. It integrates firewall protection, VPN, intrusion prevention (IPS), application visibility and control (AVC), URL filtering, and advanced malware protection through Cisco FirePOWER services. With up to 8×1 GbE data interfaces and an additional management port, the ASA5508-X is suited for small to medium enterprise or branch deployments requiring strong threat defense and segmented network security.
